The Broncos have just one takeaway so far this year and are struggling to hold onto the ball themselves. Down multiple members of their secondary, the Broncos struggled to even field a secondary against the Dolphins and then proceeded to take the butt whooping of a lifetime in South Beach. A catalyst of the Broncos' defensive struggles in 2023 has been an inability to take the ball away. The Broncos have generated just one takeaway, an interception in the end zone by Kareem Jackson. The Broncos are yet to generate an open-field takeaway.

Additionally, the Broncos are losing the fumble battle big time. Russell Wilson lost a fumble against the Commanders, and Courtland Sutton lost a pair against the Dolphins. As for the Broncos defense, they have not generated a single fumble so far this year. If the Broncos want to see any increase in their production this year, they need to start taking the ball away. A successful week four for Denver likely sees multiple takeaways and their first win in the turnover battle this year.
