One free agent from each AFC team the Broncos should sign: AFC East
1. Buffalo Bills - Tremaine Edmunds

Denver might need to invest in their inside linebacking unit in 2023. Alex Singleton did have a career year but isn't exactly young. Josey Jewell is a fine player but does seem to get injured more than you like.

Given that they are both approaching 30 years old, I kind of like the idea of throwing a bag at Tremaine Edmunds. The former first-round pick was 20 years old as a rookie and has played five seasons in the NFL. He'll just be entering his age-25 season in 2023.

He's a two time Pro Bowler and has over 100 combined tackles in each of his seasons. Adding a cornerstone piece in the middle of the defense might be a worthy investment.

2. Miami Dolphins - Teddy Bridgewater

This potential signing could make sense as Bridgewater was once working with Sean Payton with the New Orleans Saints. His stellar play in 2019 while Drew Brees was nursing an injury was the best football of his career and helped him earn a nice payday from the Carolina Panthers.

Now essentially a true backup, Bridgewater's success with Payton a few years ago could be worth building on in 2023 as if Russell Wilson falters, Bridgewater could be able to keep the ship straight.

3. New York Jets - Connor McGovern

Connor McGovern was a Bronco once upon a time and left for the New York Jets in free agency after the 2019 season. The Broncos tried to replace McGovern with Lloyd Cushenberry, but that was a massive failure.

Now set to hit free agency, spotrac.com has McGovern's market value at over $12 million per season. I'm not sure he'd get that much, but he's a very skilled center, in fact, he's one of the better centers in the NFL. A reunion with the Broncos makes a ton of sense.

4. New England Patriots - Damien Harris

Denver does need to figure out a running back situation in 2023 until Javonte Williams returns to his normal form. Well, Damien Harris, who was drafted in 2019, could be a nice target. He rushed for nearly 1,000 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2023, but did battle some injuries in 2022 and essentially got replaced by Rhamondre Stevenson in the lineup.

Harris won't cost a ton but does have some RB1 upside. If Denver doesn't want to invest too much free agency cash into the position but still wants to find some production, Harris is a nice fit.
