One free agent from each AFC team the Broncos should sign: AFC North
1. Baltimore Ravens - Ben Powers

The Denver Broncos desperately need help along their offensive line, and Ben Powers could be part of that answer. He's been a full-time starter for the Ravens for the past two seasons and seems to be a very disciplined player.

According to Pro Football Reference, Powers has been called for just six penalties in his four year career, and PFF indicates that he has only allowed three sacks in that same timeframe. Seems to me that Powers would be a significant upgrade over Dalton Risner.

2. Cleveland Browns - Jacoby Brissett

The Broncos need to get better with their QB2 spot, and some might want someone younger with more upside in this slot, but I think the QB2 position cannot get much better than Jacoby Brissett, who has been with the Browns this year.

He's about as good as a backup QB can come; he's thrown for over 10,000 yards and has earned a passer rating in the mid-80s. He's a huge player who has come in on short yardage situations for QB sneaks and the like, so Payton could deploy him in that way if he wanted.

3. Pittsburgh Steelers - Larry Ogunjobi

I think the defensive line is a need for the Broncos even if they re-sign Dre'Mont Jones. Enter, Larry Ogunjobi.

He signed a one-year deal with the Steelers after a long-term extension fell through with the Chicago Bears after a failed physical.

However, the former Bengal and Brown has stayed on the field and is a difference maker. He's got 23 sacks over his career which has spanned since 2017 and has added double digit QB hits in every season except two.

He's missed six games in six years, so he's also durable. I like this potential signing.

4. Cincinnati Bengals - Jessie Bates III

Why not? Justin Simmons is turning 30 years old in 2023, Kareem Jackson is old, a free agent, and not good anymore, and the Broncos should continue to invest in the secondary because of the division they are in.

This would be quite the bold signing, but Bates has been one of the best safeties in the NFL for the last few years, and being able to pair him with Justin Simmons would be a lethal combination.
