Tom Compton, Offensive Tackle

Tom Compton is an NFL veteran who has played in 124 games in his career. His signing looked like a solid depth move for a Broncos team that did not have anything set in stone at the right tackle position. Nearly one year later and the team still has nothing set in stone there.

Compton is an aging player who has dealt with injuries throughout his career. He was placed on the PUP list to start the season last year and ended up on injured reserve shortly after being activated from there. That all allowed Compton to appear in just one game for the Broncos.

He will be 34 years old in May and though and the Broncos just need to find more consistent options at this position. What is interesting is that the other three players the team played at the right tackle spot last season are all free agents this offseason.

The team should probably bring back at least one of those guys, but it shouldn't be Compton.
