Alex Singleton, Linebacker

Alex Singleton was signed last offseason with the thought that he would sit behind Josey Jewell and Jonas Griffith and play on special teams. But Singleton was pressed into action and though he started slowly, he was an absolute animal for the team.

Singleton was in on what seemed like every play on defense and he had an incredible amount of tackles, leading the team with 163 tackles which was good for fifth in the entire league.

How do you let a guy like that go, particularly when he will be much cheaper than many of the names at the inside linebacker spot.

The Broncos will still have Griffith and Jewell and the room to add another young option in the draft if they choose to go that route. Ray Wilborn is a player the team also signed to a futures deal that will be worth keeping an eye on.

It would be great to see the Broncos get one of the better, more athletic options at this position on the roster and that has been needed for quite some time. But after the season that Singleton just had, the Broncos need to try and keep him around unless a team throws a massive deal his way.

Decision: Re-sign
