Fringe roster players: Marlon Mack, Darius Jones, Dakota Allen

This list of players includes some names that some Broncos fans may not be as familiar with as they are buried on the depth chart and just don't see the field all that often. But since they are unrestricted free agents, they will be included.

The Broncos brought in veteran running back Marlon Mack last season, taking him off the practice squad of the San Francisco 49ers to help put a band-aid on their massive hole at the running back position.

Mack played just fine when called upon, rushing for 84 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries and catching eight passes for 99 yards, which included a 66-yard touchdown catch.

But Mack was just that, a band-aid, and the Broncos need better, more consistent options at the running back position.

Darius Phillips and Dakota Allen are players who have already played for multiple teams in their careers and were both used sparingly in Denver. The team will almost certainly move on from both of these guys this offseason.

Decision: Allow Marlon Mack, Darius Phillips and Dakota Allen to find new teams.
