3. A viable backup QB (Winston, Mayfield, Minshew, etc)

Jameis Winston is not yet a free agent, but all signs point to him being cut by the Saints after their signing of Derek Carr earlier on Monday.

Denver cannot, under any circumstances, go into 2022 with Brett Rypien as the QB2. In case Wilson implodes again, Denver needs to have a high-quality backup in place, because I do think the team can still compete, and well, having good backups is a good thing.

Other names that aren't listed in the headline could be players like Carson Wentz or even Mitchell Trubisky if he's cut by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Former Saint and Bronco Teddy Bridgewater could also be an option.

Denver needs to sign someone notable to play the QB2 role, is my main point, and Denver should have no issue paying up for them.

A high-end backup QB in the NFL may cost $5-$7 million per season, and frankly, that should be money that George Paton has no hesitation spending.
