Jordan Dajani of CBS Sports seems to think that one of the best interior offensive linemen in this free agency period could fit with the Denver Broncos. I would not hate this one bit, and I do think Denver tries to bid on this player.
Veteran guard Isaac Seumalo is a free agent this offseason and I think the Eagles aren't going to be rushing to pay him money to stay in Philly. Dajani noted that the long-haired guard and Super Bowl champion (from 2017, of course) could have a nice fit with the Denver Broncos in free agency.
He was drafted in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft and has spent his entire career with the Eagles, playing in two Super Bowls and winning one of them in 2017. He was given his first contract extension with the Eagles back after the 2018 season.
The one downside I noticed is that he missed most of the 2020 and 2021 seasons with injuries, playing in just 12 games total between the two years. However, he did bounce back in a strong way in 2022, playing in and starting all 17 games. He was also named a Pro Bowl alternate.
It's clear that Seumalo is going to cash in during free agency, and the Broncos do make a ton of sense. Seumalo has played both guard positions, which is a bonus. The team's right guard spot is being held down by Quinn Meinerz, who is an absolute dog.
Seumalo could slide in at left guard, replacing Dalton Risner, who should not be brought back. This would create a mean pairing of guards. With questions at center and right tackle, Denver may also feel compelled to dip into the free agency pool again for another OL.
Spotrac.com has his market value as $12.1 million per season. It seems expensive, but that's the price you pay for quality offensive linemen.
