Denver Broncos Mock Draft: Getting the QB and working the draft board
If it was not clear already, the Denver Broncos need to get the QB right for the long term. Can they get the right guy in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft? Watching the conference championship games, and it's clear how much the Broncos need a franchise QB. And they don't just need a guy, they need the guy.
The Broncos swung and missed on Russell Wilson. I guess we have to give them props for trying, at least, but Wilson is not going to be able to make progress in the loaded AFC. Fortunately, the 2024 NFL Draft does seem to have a rather deep QB class, so perhaps the Broncos can land the franchise passer that has been avoiding them for almost a decade.
In this 2024 NFL Mock Draft, will the Denver Broncos get their guy?
12th Overall - Bo Nix, QB, Oregon
I think Bo Nix fits Sean Payton and the Denver Broncos the most. Nix has a ton of college experience, has won everywhere he's been between Auburn and Oregon, and is a college graduate. Sean Payton comes from the Bill Parcells coaching tree, and this is what Parcells looked for in a QB:
Folks, Bo Nix satisfies every one of these criteria. I truly, truly would not be surprised if Bo Nix ends up being the Broncos' target. I am not here to argue which QB in the first round is the best fit, but I think the Broncos will end up looking at the Oregon QB as their target. Don't shoot the messenger.
