Emil Ekiyor, Alabama

Emil Ekiyor played at the University of Alabama, one of the top programs in the country, and no doubt received the kind of experience every pro prospect could want and ask for while there. However, looking into him, he seems to be a big drop off from even Vorhees in terms of current skills.

This is why those hoping that Risner is gone may want to pump the brakes a bit, but let's get into Ekiyor.

He stayed with the Crimson Tide for five seasons, playing in 50 games while there and getting a shot at both guard spots. In that time, he was able to put a lot of film on tape.

Of course, playing at Alabama and in the SEC, he did get a good taste of top competition to go up against. He showcased himself to a smart football player who can be excellent in certain situations, particularly his reach-blocking technique.

At 6-foot-2, he is going to be a bit smaller than most teams would like and he will have to get stronger in order to hold up against pro competition. However, there is plenty to work with here as Ekiyor is a plus athlete.

Would he be a better option than Risner? That is a legitimate question. He could certainly develop into that as he is only 23 years old, but it would be more of a stopgap pick for the team rather than one to rant and rave about, at least initially.
