The Denver Broncos got a desperately needed win on Sunday afternoon against the Chicago Bears, in relatively impressive fashion. Impressive from the standpoint that, the Broncos were able to overcome a 28-7 lead by the Chicago Bears, who racked up 471 total yards of offense in the game.

It was about as unlikely as you will see in today's NFL with the Broncos ripping off 24 unanswered points in the second half of the game, including a defensive touchdown, to beat Chicago. Now that the Broncos are finally in the win column this season, we have something positive to overreact to instead of something so negative.

After losing to the Dolphins 70-20 in Week 3, this win certainly feels good, even if it did come against arguably the (other) worst team in the NFL. Let's overreact together.

3 overreactions from Denver Broncos Week 4 win

1. The Broncos are BACK

I'm not one to pour cold water on a win, but I think we need to ease up on thinking the Denver Broncos are officially back after this win against the Chicago Bears. The Bears are not a good team overall, and they absolutely torched the Denver Broncos defense to the tune of 471 total yards of offense and four touchdowns from quarterback Justin Fields.

It was an outstanding performance from Fields for the majority of the game, and a really ugly performance from the Denver defense for much of the game as well. Fields only had one incomplete pass in the entire first half, and it came on a failed Hail Mary attempt.

The Broncos were getting embarrassed as of the end of the first half with Chicago scoring 21 unanswered points in the second quarter.

Although I think it's premature to say the Broncos are "back", I also think it would be foolish to think this game could not be a launching off point for the team. I do believe a come-from-behind win like this can be a catalyst for some good, but the Broncos have to build off of the actually good things we saw from the defense in the second half of the game.

2. Jaleel McLaughlin: Best RB on the roster?

I was having this thought during the game against the Bears, and it might be a flaming hot take, but I'm going to make it public anyway.

I think Javonte Williams may be the third-best back on the Broncos' roster right now.

I'm not trying to kick Javonte while he's down. The former second-round back left the game with a hip injury and did not return. But when he has been on the field this season, I feel like he has had a much harder time than either Samaje Perine or Jaleel McLaughlin in terms of making things happen.

And making things happen is exactly what McLaughlin did in this game against the Bears.

McLaughlin finished this game with 10 total touches (7 carries, 3 receptions) for 104 total yards from scrimmage and a touchdown. He averaged over 10 yards per carry and 10 yards per touch in this game, and it wasn't just that he busted off one big run and had a bunch of shorter ones. He was making great cuts, hitting the hole hard, and he was elusive in the open field.

I don't think it's that big of a stretch to say that Javonte Williams has been the third-best back on the team this season, but many might see that as an overreaction to just this one game.

3. The Denver Broncos should prepare to be buyers

Things can turn around in the NFL rather quickly. An overreaction for this game, maybe a cousin of "the Broncos are BACK", has to be that the Broncos should prepare to be buyers at the NFL trade deadline.

Plenty of people have spent a lot of time in the last week talking about how the Broncos should be getting ready for a fire sale, myself included. But if you want to overreact to this one game, I think you could easily make a justification that the Broncos could be buyers in the near future.

The Broncos will play two more games within the next 11 days. They play the New York Jets at home before going to Kansas City for a Thursday night battle against the Kansas City Chiefs shortly after that. Let's say some crazy stuff happens and the Broncos find themselves 3-3 after these next two games.

Again, we can't get too far ahead of ourselves here, but we're overreacting, remember? Or let's say the team beats the Jets, and then plays well against the Chiefs, regardless of winning or losing the game. If the Broncos are 2-4 or 3-3 and play the Chiefs well in Week 6, could we see this team as a buyer at the NFL trade deadline?

Perhaps. I think we'll see them do some selling for sure, but they might mix it with some buying if they can get a couple of wins here in October. It all depends on the players that become available and what price they are available for. But I wouldn't be shocked if Sean Payton and George Paton collectively decide to be aggressive with this roster the way Russell Wilson is playing.

And Wilson is really the primary reason why I think you might see this team get aggressive. Wilson has 9 TD passes through the first four games of the season. The last Broncos QB to do that was Peyton Manning in 2014. Wilson is playing well enough that you have to at least consider adding pieces where the price is right.

Let's say the Falcons are dumping Kyle Pitts. I know people will say, but that doesn't fix the defense but that really isn't the point. It's about adding good players at discounted prices. If guys like that become available, I think there's an interesting discussion to be had.

Or maybe the Javonte Williams injury opens up the possibility of Jonathan Taylor. Time will tell, but this might not really be an overreaction.
