2) Bill Musgrave

Since being the Broncos' offensive coordinator in 2017 and 2018, Bill Musgrave took a year off in 2019 and then moved on to the California Golden Bears, where he served as their offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for three seasons from 2020-2022. Musgrave was let go late in 2022 before the Golden Bears' season came to an end. However, despite some bumps during his last stop, Musgrave could still be a strong addition for Sean Payton.

Musgrave's extensive history with quarterbacks could be very beneficial, as Russell Wilson might just be the most challenging revitalization project in team history. Whether it be in the role of quarterbacks coach, an offensive assistant, or even offensive coordinator, Musgrave will bring a wealth of knowledge to the table with him.

Musgrave had a nice run of success from 2006-2013 while working as the quarterbacks coach for the Falcons and star QB Michael Vick (despite Vick's 2-year suspension) for the first four seasons of that timeline, and then on to the Vikings as offensive coordinator from 2011-2013, which included Adrian Peterson's MVP season in 2012. Also of note, he was the quarterbacks coach for the Eagles in 2014, which was one of the strong campaigns of Nick Foles, and called plays for the 2016 Raiders, a playoff team that featured Derek Carr, Amari Cooper, and all-pro Kelechi Osemele.

Despite some lackluster stops, including his stint in Denver, Musgrave has had success in his professional coaching career, and the diverse background of players he has worked with could be beneficial for the Broncos, as they look to build an offensive culture of success in Denver, something they have not had in almost a decade.
