The obvious answer of all obvious answers. When your team signs you to a big contract and then immediately turns around one year later and tries to strong-arm you out of injury guarantees that you and said team agreed upon in said big contract, it's probably smart to leave. Wilson's not the same guy he was in Seattle, but he played pretty well for most of the season, and will almost certainly have his pick of a few places when the team ultimately cuts him this spring.
