The Denver Broncos preseason is over, and the roster cuts have already begun. The Broncos, along with the rest of the NFL, have to trim their rosters down to 53 players by August 30th at 6 PM ET - 4 PM MT.
Many teams around the league have already begun the process of trimming their roster down, and in many instances, these players will sign back to the team's practice squad. There are instances, though, of players who get cut from a current team that will then find an active roster spot on another team.

Fullback Adam Prentice was also cut, but some important context is needed:

His release is essentially being done to save a roster spot, as you can surely expect him to be the team's fullback for the 2026 season. This could allow the Broncos to, for example, carry all three quarterbacks or even carry an extra inside linebacker, which could end up being great news for fringe guys like Sam Ehlinger and undrafted rookie Taurean York.
Something similar is also being done with Mitchell Fraboni, the long-snapper:

OLB Jonathon Cooper placed on the Commissioner's Exempt List
Jonathon Cooper was also placed on the exempt list on Sunday, so he will not count on the 53-man roster as long as he remains on the list. He ran into some domestic issues this offseason:
