The Denver Broncos host the Seattle Seahawks in Week 6 on Thursday Night Football. Denver is going to be without Patrick Surtain II and Talanoa Hufanga, which is far from ideal, but this team has overcome a lot in the Sean Payton era.

And while the Seahawks might feel like an intimidating team, especially considering they won the Super Bowl last year, this team is beatable and have lost two of their last three games.

We've identified three things the Broncos have to do if they hope to beat the Seahawks in Week 6.

The Denver Broncos can beat the Seattle Seahawks if these three things are done

...if they rush for more yards than the Seahawks

In Seattle's two losses this year, they were held to just 44 and 89 rushing yards. In their three wins, they ran for 97, 162, and 138 yards. Their opponents in their losses did run for more yards, so it's clear that the Broncos have to do this in Week 6.

The Broncos run game has been atrocious this year, but they were able to outgain the Jacksonville Jaguars on the ground by nine yards, and the team has won both of their 100+ yard team rushing performances this year.

While this isn't a perfect formula, the Broncos outgaining the Seahawks on the ground, especially at home, should yield a victory. Seattle will be down their top two running backs in Zach Charbonnet and Jadarian Price, so it should end up being a not hard task to contain the Seahawks limp rushing attack.

...if they create multiple turnovers on defense

In their two losses this year, the Seahawks combined to give the ball away seven times. In their three wins, they gave the ball away just two times. This is definitely more of a pattern across the NFL - teams that take care of the football typically win, so this has to remain the case in Week 6, but with the defense being able to generate a turnover or two.

The Broncos have won every game this year where they have also won the turnover battle, so this one feels rather clear. The secondary could also feast, as Sam Darnold leads the NFL in interception percentage through five weeks, and we have seen interceptions return to the defense this year, but a strip sack or two would not hurt.

Creating turnovers is going to be another huge key here.

...if they keep the game within one score entering the fourth quarter

Not including the wacky AFC Championship Game from 2025, the last time the Broncos lost a one-score game at home was Week 6 of the 2024 NFL Season, literally two entire years ago.

Obviously, this streak will not keep up forever, but why can't it for another week? The Broncos have been able to beat two superior teams at home this year in Los Angeles and Seattle, so if this is another one-score game heading into the fourth quarter, you'd have to like the Broncos chances.

Something just clicks for this team when they're in a 'gotta have it' situation, and as long as this game isn't a blowout, Denver should be able to come out victorious.
