After getting off to a 4-2 start despite one of the toughest schedules in the league, the Denver Broncos have to maintain focus with a road matchup in Week 7 against the Arizona Cardinals.
While the Cardinals already ruled out star rookie running back Jeremiyah Love, the Broncos are set to welcome back their own rookie running back in Week 7, with Jonah Coleman being activated off injured reserve.
On top of the great news of Coleman returning to practice, the Broncos got some additional updates ahead of their matchup against the Cardinals that could be absolutely massive for their upcoming stretch of games.
Broncos Week 7 injury updates are (mostly) encouraging

Jonah Coleman activated and ready to roll vs. Cardinals
For the first time since Week 2, the Denver Broncos are expected to have their stud rookie running back. Jonah Coleman had an outstanding 4th quarter against the Jaguars in which he showed his ability to create yardage after contact, pass protect, and be a weapon in the passing game.
The Broncos will need him against Arizona with JK Dobbins struggling badly lately, on top of Tyler Badie out for this game due to a thumb injury. It's possible that we could see Badie land on injured reserve when the team needs to officially place Jonathon Cooper on the 53-man roster.
Coleman's presence, if nothing else, should be a breath of fresh air for the team. For a running game that needs a spark, any sign of hope is welcome right now.
Pat Surtain looks close to returning to action
Although head coach Sean Payton wouldn't come out and say it, there is at least a possibility that star cornerback Pat Surtain II plays on Sunday against the Cardinals.
The Broncos may hold him out for one more game after suffering an ankle injury against the 49ers a few weeks back, but Surtain was limited all week at practice before receiving a questionable designation.
Considering the fact that the Cardinals have Trey McBride and Michael Wilson as their two primary options in the passing game, this would be exactly the type of matchup in which the Broncos would love to have Surtain following someone around, wiping someone out of the game entirely.
It may be more likely we see him against the Chiefs, but there is at least a chance he plays on Sunday.
No injury designation for Riley Moss or Jaylen Waddle
Riley Moss (ribs) and Jaylen Waddle (chest) were both on the injury report this week for the Broncos, but neither player has an injury designation for the game against the Cardinals.
They're full go.
Moss got hurt in the preseason against the Green Bay Packers, then aggravated the injury against San Francisco. He played in packages against the Seahawks, but that was it.
We also saw Jaylen Waddle briefly leave the game against the Seahawks, but he came back and finished it out. It wasn't surprising to see him on the injury report with that in mind, but it's a huge relief that he was upgraded to "full" on the last day of practice, and is good to go against Arizona.
The Broncos need a big game out of Waddle, and they need to get him consistently involved in the offense.
Talanoa Hufanga OUT; Jonah Elliss heading to IR
The Denver Broncos will play their second straight game without safety Talanoa Hufanga, who is missing time right now due to an ankle injury. Hufanga has been phenomenal since coming to Denver, but especially great this season.
He almost single-handedly took down the Los Angeles Rams a handful of weeks ago with his pick-six off Matthew Stafford, followed by a game-winning interception later on (and other huge plays in between).
This was an expected absence for Hufanga, who was said to be out 2-3 weeks after the Chargers game. Maybe there is some optimism he could return for the Chiefs game next week, but given the fact that he was a "DNP" all week at practice, even that might be questionable.
Jonah Elliss, on the other hand, is going on IR with an ankle injury of his own. Elliss hobbled off the field late against the Seahawks with his injury so the Broncos didn't have to use a timeout. Nobody can question his toughness.
Sean Payton said it's not a season-ending injury for Elliss, but we're not sure when we'll see him back. It might not be until the later stages of the year or even the playoffs.
