The Denver Broncos probably aren't thinking about the 2027 NFL Draft right now, but why can't we? The Broncos do have some pretty clear future needs at the moment, as having one of the oldest rosters in the sport can clear things up for the future.

And while the Broncos could end up trading some of their picks in 2027 for players at the NFL Trade Deadline, that doesn't mean we can't take a dive into the coming class to see what a potential draft class might look like.

So, let's get into a 2027 mock draft, using PFN's Mock Draft simulator.

Denver Broncos address key needs and beef up the trenches in latest 2027 NFL Mock Draft

29. A'Mauri Washington, DT, Oregon

A'Mauri Washington is 6-3 and nearly 330 pounds. With guys like DJ Jones and Zach Allen getting older, it would make a ton of sense for the Broncos to invest more in the trenches.

Washington does have the size profile of a nose tackle, but he has the skillset to line up all over the defensive line, and a future as a Jones replacement would make sense.

61. Samson Okunlola, OT, Miami (FL)

Having played both guard and tackle in college, the Broncos could do a lot worse here - Samson Okunlola is someone the Broncos could deploy at either position, as Ben Powers is a free agent in 2027, and Mike McGlinchey has one more year on his contract but has struggled this year.

93. Luke Reynolds, TE, Virginia Tech

Like many collegiate tight ends, the potential is at least present with the blocking, but Luke Reynolds is better as a receiver and is solid in terms of size at 6-4 and 250 pounds. The Broncos simply have to get some long-term clarity in this room.

130. Tao Johnson, S, UCLA

Tao Johnson is a four-year collegiate player, so he brings a lot of experience into the NFL. Brandon Jones, one of the Broncos starting safeties, is a free agent in 2027, so it's logical to think that the team could dip into the NFL Draft to add a potential future starter.

135. Caleb Woodson, LB, Alabama

Caleb Woodson is a linebacker, and I almost regret not taking a linebacker earlier given how badly the Broncos got burned by the linebackers in the 2026 NFL Draft, and the team's refusal to address the room in free agency this past offseason was also troubling.

165. Mark Fletcher Jr., RB, Miami (FL)

At 6-2 and 225 pounds, Mark Fletcher Jr. has the size to run downhill and wear down opponents. With the way J.K. Dobbins has looked this year, it's almost a guarantee that he is not on the team in 2027. The Broncos could again try to deploy a three-man rotation at the position in 2027 with Fletcher in place of Dobbins.

209. Drew Azzopardi, OT, Washington

At 6-7 and 325 pounds, Drew Azzopardi has the size to cut it as a tacke in the NFL. Denver's offensive line has taken a step back this year, and it's an older unit. The Broncos have to come away with multiple young players in the NFL Draft.

Adding a guard and a tackle would be smart business.

206. Koron Hayward, EDGE, TCU

Why not continue building on a strength? Denver's defensive line continues to be among the best in the NFL, and that won't remain the case unless the team keeps adding young players at the position. Hayward already has 6.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks in eight games this year.

247. Dallas Afalava, DT, Wake Forest

Denver again addresses the trenches with Dallas Afalava from Wake Forest, keeping with the trend of investing draft picks into the unit. Many of the team's current key players are getting older, so while this may seem like overkill, the trenches is honestly the one area where you can never have too many good players.

And with how much Denver likes to rotate along the defensive line, having fresh bodies is a must.
