Folks, the Denver Broncos did it again. This team started slow and proceeded to turn it on in the second half. While the Broncos did a ton to lose this game, they also stepped up, buckled down, and iced the win.
The Broncos were simply more clutch than the Jacksonville Jaguars when they needed to be. Across the board, this team rose to the occasion and clearly understood how big of a game this was, as not only did the defense hold firm in the second half, but the offense really put some nice drives together.
Stop me if you heard this before, but quarterback Bo Nix, after a slow first half start, led the Broncos on two key touchdown drives in the fourth quarter to help seal the victory. While it never seems to be seamless throughout a game, Nix did the late-game heroics again.

Bo Nix finished the day with 288 yards passing, one touchdown, and one interception. He added a wicked 132 passing yards and a 122.1 passer rating in the second half:

And as Sam Jane notes, Trevor Lawrence, on the other hand, had a 19.8 passer rating. While may of us find it incredibly frustrating that Nix and the offense take some time to get going, it's honestly better that this team rises to the occasion later in the game than starting off hot and cooling down as the evening goes on.
We saw this time and time again - for whatever reason, Nix and this offense just feel the pressure and decide to flip a switch. While Nix is still rather early in his NFL career, this is something that can't always be present, as this team does need to learn how to play complete games. With tough contests coming up against the Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers, and Seattle Seahawks, the Broncos cannot afford these slow starts in the first half, especially away from home.
With that being said, Nix was outstanding in the second half, and, unsurprisingly, he seemed to use his legs more and also tested downfield more often than in the first half. That needs to remain a staple of the offense going forward, and this early season victory over a tough AFC opponent does continue to silence those Nix doubters.
Once those doubters get loud, Nix seems to bounce right back.
