3 Broncos whose stock is skyrocketing after much-needed win over Jaguars

The Denver Broncos were absolutely blown out in embarrassing fashion in Week 1 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Their Week 2 win against the Jacksonville Jaguars was not only a much-needed bounce-back for the team, but included some really important individual performances.

The Broncos got off to a sluggish start offensively against the Jaguars, but from the second quarter on, the entire team really started to play complementary football.

Which players are seeing their stock skyrocket the most after the win? We picked three players who not only bounced back against Jacksonville, but may have laid the groundwork to build something special from this point forward.

1. Riley Moss, cornerback

The entire Denver Broncos defense played outstanding against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but Riley Moss is the one who ended up making the game-changing play.

After wiping a beautiful strip-sack by Nik Bonitto off the board earlier in the game due to an illegal contact penalty, Moss found redemption with an interception on a badly telegraphed throw from Trevor Lawrence:

It doesn't get talked about all that often, but Moss actually tied for the NFL lead last season with 19 passes broken up. That's somewhat expected, considering he was targeted in coverage a career-high 118 times. Moss has become known more for his issues with penalties than his ability to cover, which is top-tier.

He had 3 passes defensed against the Jaguars, bringing his total up to 4 already this season. One of the things Moss wanted to be better at in 2026 was actually taking the ball away when he is able to get his hands on it, and he not only picked off Lawrence as the clock was winding down in the 3rd quarter, but had another play in which he felt like he dropped a potential pick-six.

Moss is one of the most polarizing players in Broncos Country, and understandably so. He's had his struggles, but if he can make more plays on the ball like we saw against Jacksonville, he's going to be in line for a big-money contract before too long.

2. Que Robinson, outside linebacker

One of the biggest questions heading into the 2026 season for the Denver Broncos was how they would replace Jonathon Cooper off the edge.

There was a report going into their game against the Jaguars that Jacksonville felt the Broncos' defensive front looked more "human" without Cooper against the Kansas City Chiefs, so Que Robinson did his part to make sure they were back to looking superhuman.

Robinson finished the game against Jacksonville with 3 total tackles, 1 sack, 1 tackle for loss, and 1 QB hit. And he had some folks after the game asking the question of whether or not he should be getting even more snaps, potentially at the expense of third-year player Jonah Elliss.

The Broncos have a really intriguing weapon off the edge in Robinson. Coming into this season, defensive coordinator Vance Joseph was singing his praises and talking about how they view Robinson as having future starter qualities.

We saw glimpses of what he can do with his outstanding combination of size, length, speed, and power last season, and we saw it again in the team's win over the Jaguars.

3. Jonah Coleman, running back

Everybody has already been talking about it since the game ended, and I almost considered just being creative and picking someone else for this third slot, but Jonah Coleman deserves all the post-victory hype.

It was just one quarter of full-time work, but Coleman showed in a small sample the most complete three-down skill set the Broncos have had at the running back position in the Sean Payton era.

How about that for a Monday morning hot take?

Coleman ripped off runs of 6, 12, and 12 yards on the Broncos' victory-sealing drive, but even beyond that, he was phenomenal picking up blitzers in pass protection, helping keep the pocket clean for Bo Nix on the team's first touchdown drive of the game.

He helped throughout the game as a receiver with three receptions, he cashed in when the Broncos got back to the red zone for the go-ahead touchdown, and he closed out the game in the 4-minute offense.

What the Broncos have lacked at running back in the past few seasons, Coleman absolutely brought to the table in the win over the Jaguars.
