The Denver Broncos are looking to pull off an upset at home against the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night football. As 2.5-point underdogs, the Broncos need to find a way to be the "over-dogs" once again.
The Broncos (and Seahawks) will be wearing their throwback uniforms for the epic Thursday night matchup, and these are two teams that have been almost mirror images of each other.
Both teams are still finding their way offensively, and both teams have been leaning heavily on their defense. We're going to make some bold predictions for the Broncos in this game that, if they come to fruition, will all but guarantee a victory.
RJ Harvey big game leads Broncos bold predictions vs. Seahawks in Week 6
1. RJ Harvey racks up 150+ yards from scrimmage
The lack of involvement from RJ Harvey so far in the 2026 season has been a bit concerning. Of course, Harvey also missed a game (and part of another) due to injury, but even when he has been on the field, his involvement has been minimal.
Although Harvey had a huge role in the loss vs. the 49ers as a receiver (10 receptions), that remains his lone game so far this season with 50+ yards from scrimmage. As the Broncos tried to make a more concerted effort to get JK Dobbins in rhythm, Harvey's usage suffered dramatically.
He had just 3 touches for 7 yards in the team's win over the Chargers.
And I'm predicting that Sean Payton will course correct.
The bold prediction is obviously that Harvey will have 150+ yards from scrimmage. That would be about 60 more yards from scrimmage than he had against the 49ers, so it's not completely out of reach. But this type of prediction will have to include a couple of big plays.
With Seattle's defense being so stingy against the pass (fewest yards allowed, most interceptions), the plan should be to get Harvey opportunities to create after the catch.
2. Jahdae Barron has a defensive touchdown
Last season, Jahdae Barron had a pick-six wiped off the board by a Riley Moss penalty.
Against the Seahawks, he's going to get another shot at a defensive touchdown.
Barron has a nose for the football and a knack for making plays after he picks off a pass. He had the pick-six wiped off the board last year against the Chiefs, and he also had a pick-six in the preseason win over the Falcons this year.
After playing a couple of really good games in a row, Barron has an opportunity to take advantage of something the Seahawks really struggle with, which is giving the ball away. Sam Darnold has played just three games and change this season, and has thrown 5 interceptions already.
The interception percentage of 5.1 percent would be the highest of Darnold's NFL career up to this point. That's something the Broncos' defense has to take advantage of in a hostile environment.
With Pat Surtain's return looming in the next couple of weeks (we hope), Barron has to take advantage of every opportunity he gets out there.
3. Bo Nix plays his best game of the season
This is about as conservative as it gets for a "bold" prediction, but would it not be like Bo Nix to play his best game of the year now? Of all times?
The Seahawks have the #1 pass defense in the NFL. They lead the league in interceptions. Remember what happened the last time Bo Nix played the #1 pass defense in the NFL? It was last season in the Divisional Round against the Buffalo Bills.
He absolutely shredded them.
It would be hysterical if, facing more backlash than he ever has, in adverse conditions, against the best pass defense in the NFL, Bo Nix finally played his best game so far of this season. He certainly gave us his best mid-week press conference.
And what does playing his best game of the season actually mean?
We're not exactly talking about stats, but just the way he plays this game. It might mean his best stats of the season, or it might just mean his cleanest game.
