Jermaine Eluemunor, Tackle, Las Vegas Raiders
The Broncos must address the offensive line position this offseason and without a draft pick in either of the first two rounds, they will almost certainly have to turn to free agency.
Calvin Anderson, Billy Turner, Tom Compton and Cam Fleming are all scheduled to hit free agency for the Broncos. The team probably needs to bring at least one of those guys back for depth but they also need a player who can become a fixture at that position rather than a revolving door.
The name of Mike McGlinchey has come up a lot this offseason and guys like George Fant and Jawaan Taylor could also be options, but all of them would be pricey options.
Searching for an offensive tackle in the “bargain bin” is far from ideal, but at a projected annual salary of $5.6 million, Jermaine Eluemunor could be a terrific option.
Taken in the fifth round of the 2017 draft by the Baltimore Ravens, Eluemunor has already played for five teams in that short amount of time, but he has steadily progressed and this past season, he started in all 17 games for the Raiders.
If the Broncos could find a solid tackle prospect in the third round of the upcoming draft, having a guy like Eluemunor and a guy like Fleming or Anderson on the team to help with his development could be a decent direction for the Broncos to go in, given their current resources.
