Jeff Wilson, Running Back, Miami Dolphins

Speaking of players I am incredibly high on, here’s one.

Jeff Wilson is a terrific option as a rotational runner in any system in the league. He runs hard and churns out the tough yardage but he also has the ability to hit the open hole and turn on the speed for some big gains.

The Miami Dolphins acquired him in a trade before this year’s trade deadline and he is a perfect fit for the offense that Mike McDaniel likes to run, making it likely that the Dolphins will want to keep him around. But if he can be had through free agency, the Broncos need to be interested.

The Broncos have a good running back situation but it is also cloudy at the moment and could take some time before it is in a “good” spot in 2023.

Javonte Williams will be coming off of a torn ACL. Latavius Murray should be retained by the team but he also just turned 33 years old. The Broncos are going to need at least one reinforcement.

And that could be Wilson.

The running back market has some big names on it this offseason including Saquon Barkley, Josh Jacobs, Miles Sanders and Kareem Hunt. They are all going to get a big payday.

But at the $2.9 million annual salary that Spotrac suggests Wilson could be signed for, sign me up.
