Mac McCain, Cornerback, Philadelphia Eagles

Anthony Harris was signed to the Broncos practice squad in September and spent much of this season there before appearing in three regular-season games for the team after being called up.

The Broncos released him in early December and the Eagles signed him a week later. The Eagles were familiar with him as Harris started in 14 games for them in 2021. He was brought back this year to add depth to the secondary and is currently on the team’s practice squad.

Harris would obviously love to play in the game as an eight-year veteran but the Eagles don’t have any injury concerns going into this one so being along for the ride will be the best he can get.

The same goes for Mac McCain, who was an undrafted rookie signed by the Broncos out of North Carolina A&T in 2021. Since then, the two teams have traded him back and forth through waivers.

The Broncos waived McCain just prior to the start of the 2021 regular season. He was claimed by the Eagles who even made him active for a couple of games before waiving him that November.

The very next day, the Broncos claimed him but had him on the practice squad for just two weeks before waiving him again. The very next day after that, the Eagles grabbed him again and he has remained with the team since.

McCain has appeared in two regular-season games during his career and has three tackles.

The Eagles also signed tight end Dalton Keene to a future contract when the regular season ended. Keene had two separate stints on the Broncos’ practice squad this year but when the season came to a close, the Broncos chose not to offer him a future deal.
