Former Denver Broncos defensive end DeMarcus Ware, one of the greatest pass-rushers in NFL history, will be forever remembered in Canton, Ohio.

Ware joins Peyton Manning as Broncos players who helped win Super Bowl 50 and are now in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The announcement was made on Thursday night during the league’s annual NFL Honors ceremony.

Ware played three seasons with the Broncos after nine with the Dallas Cowboys, who took him with the No. 11 overall pick in the 2005 draft. Ware signed a one-day contract with the Cowboys before retiring and will go into the Hall of Fame as a member of the Cowboys.

Ware ranks at No. 9 on the league’s official all-time sacks list and 13th on the unofficial list. Either way, very few players who ever played the game were able to take down the quarterback more than Ware.

He was an integral part of the Broncos’ defense that ultimately helped the team win Super Bowl 50. Though Von Miller was the man who got a lot of the credit, Von himself would credit Ware for helping him become the player that he was.

In his three seasons in Denver, Ware racked up 21.5 sacks and proved to be worth what the team shelled out for him as a free agent following his release by the Cowboys, which was only done to create cap space in Dallas.

The Broncos were all too happy to get him for the final three years of his career and to help him get a ring on his finger.

Other players and coaches inducted in this year’s class include Darrelle Revis, Joe Klecko, Ken Riley, Zach Thomas, Ronde Barber, Joe Thomas, Don Coryell and Chuck Howley.

The Hall of Fame ceremony will take place in August. That is when Ware will get the first look at his Hall of Fame bust that will live in Canton forever.
