Broncos free agency: Going all in for the 2023 season

Move #2: Sign one of Evan Engram, Dalton Schultz, or Mike Gesicki

Even though Greg Dulcich had a very solid rookie season, the Broncos could still add a body to this room.

During the 2010-2014 seasons, Sean Payton and the New Orleans Saints offense featured one of the best tight ends of this generation in Jimmy Graham.  Graham had 1,310 receiving yards in 2011 and 1,215 yards in 2013.  During that five-year stretch, Graham had 4,752 yards and 51 touchdown catches.

Just imagine what Sean Payton could do with one of the top three free agent tight ends in 2023.  The Jaguars and Cowboys are tight against the cap, and the Dolphins hardly used Gesicki this year anyway, so he’ll sign with a new team.

This would also give Russell Wilson yet another weapon, even after the team traded for DeAndre Hopkins in this scenario.

You can’t really go wrong with any of the three, but I’d probably prefer Engram the most.  This would be nothing more than a luxury move for the Denver Broncos, but one that could add yet another weapon on offense.

Just think for a second about the amount of trouble that opposing defenses would be in if they had to cover Evan Engram, DeAndre Hopkins, Jerry Jeudy, Tim Patrick, Greg Dulcich, and even Javonte Williams.

It would be a nightmare to try and stop.
