5 coaches that could join Sean Payton with Denver Broncos

Potential Fit: Every Spot Aside From Offensive Line, Assistant Head Coach
Hey, I wonder who recently wrote about this? (It was me).
David Shaw makes all the sense in the world for Sean Payton’s staff, and the beauty is that he can find so many different roles. He’s served as basically every coach on an offensive staff aside from a linesman coach, which has already been filled (reported by NFL Network), so he can fit in anywhere. Shaw’s massive résumé, his successes, and Payton can bring in a coach who he claims to be one of the brightest offensive minds in football.
Before resigning from his post several weeks back, David Shaw had served as the head coach at Stanford since 2011 and had held a few other roles at the University prior to that, including offensive coordinator, passing game coordinator, running backs coach, and wide receivers coach.
Shaw also offers the ability for the Broncos to have continuity on the offensive side of the coaching staff for the first time in a long time. A unit head by Payton and Shaw would set the Broncos up for levels of success that they have not had in a long time. The two coaches crossed paths in Philadelphia in 1997 when they both served on the offensive staff for a subpar Eagles team, but they have remained in touch since.
Payton referred to Shaw in 2020 as an “extremely bright candidate”. Their connection and the respect Payton has for Shaw could prove vital.
