Find more reliable targets at wide receiver

Jerry Jeudy’s strong third season gives me hope that he will truly break out in year four under Sean Payton.  However, all of Jeudy, Courtland Sutton, Tim Patrick, and KJ Hamler has missed significant time during their careers due to injury.

While there’s a ton of talent in that room, they can’t stay on the field, so bringing in some reliable talent would be a smart idea.  I do wonder how much someone like Brandin Cooks would cost.  Or, Denver could hand free agent receiver Jakobi Meyers a nice contract.

I don’t think Denver needs to make a major trade here, but simply finding bodies who can stay on the field and occasionally produce would be an excellent boost to the offense that needs it.  I could see one or both of Sutton and Hamler being traded this offseason.

The path forward for this group might just be to build around Jerry Jeudy and treat him like the WR1 he is.  Regardless of what they think about Jeudy, it’s obvious that the front office needs to tweak this room if they want to field a competent passing attack in 2023.
