The Denver Broncos’ 2022 season is officially over, and their offseason has only just begun. Which players have played their last game for the team?  At the end of the day, the NFL is a business and sometimes, tough business decisions need to be made.

The Broncos have not been a good football team since 2015 and have cycled through quite a few head coaches and various players.  Certain players have carved out a nice career in Denver, but others have simply not lived up to their draft status or contract.

There are a few players that I think have most definitely played their last game for the team.  Their respective performances on the field have simply not been good enough to warrant them continuing to be on the roster.

So, which three players have played their last game with Denver?

Brandon McManus, Kicker

Brandon McManus has not been good this year for the team and simply is not making the field goals that he used to make.  In fact, he’s making just 77.8% of his kicks, which is his lowest since the 2017 season.

The recent contract extension he signed is one of the richest among NFL kickers, so cutting him can save the team $3.75 million.  It’s a logical decision for the only remaining holdover from the Super Bowl 50 roster.

Surely, Denver can find a competent replacement either in the NFL draft or in free agency.  McManus, I think has been a bit overrated.  He’s got one above-average season and has largely been an average kicker for his entire career.

The two sides need a fresh start, in my opinion.
