The NFL regular season is finally over, so it’s time to start looking at the upcoming coaching carousal.

For teams like the Denver Broncos, trying to figure out who your next head coach will be is as exciting as things will get until the NFL Draft.

So, I decided to toss together some theoretical betting odds for who will be named the next head coach of the Broncos.

Keep in mind, you can’t actually bet on this, but if you could, I’m confident the odds would reflect close to where I have these names pegged.

Before we dive into odds to become the next head coach of the Broncos, let’s talk about things we can bet on. Obviously, the Broncos aren’t in the NFL postseason, but that doesn’t mean we can’t bet on the playoffs and try to make some money.

Broncos next head coach odds

Jim Harbaugh +175

It’s going to be tough to get Jim Harbaugh to abandon Michigan, but the job makes too much sense for him if he does decide to return to the NFL.

The Broncos have an elite defense and a solid running game. If anyone can turn that type of team into a winner, it’s Jim Harbaugh. His style of coaching could be a perfect fit for this team, and he’s the type of guy that would be up for the challenge.

It’s already been announced that he’s going to interview with Denver this week, so he seems to be the early frontrunner to land the job.

Dan Quinn +300

It’s not a name that you’ve seen a lot of recently, but don’t be surprised if Dan Quinn ends up being named the next head coach of the Denver Broncos.

He already has head coaching experience, and was one half of football away from winning the Super Bowl with the Falcons. Now, he has served as the defensive coordinators for the Cowboys, and their defense has been one of the best in the NFL this season.

Is it time to give him another shot at a head coaching gig? It could make a lot of sense with the Broncos’ already dominant defense.

Sean Payton +450

Sean Payton is another popular name that has circled social media. It seems like he’s going to return to coaching, but what team he’s going to coach is still up in the air.

There are a couple of issues involving acquiring Payton. Number one is that he’s still under contract with the Saints, meaning a rare coach trade would probably need to be done for the Broncos to snag him.

With that being said, the Broncos have stated that they remain interested in Payton and the former Saints head coach has already spoke to Broncos ownership.

Darrell Bevell +700

Darrell Bevell was amongst the list of initial names being discussed to take over the role as the Broncos head coach.

He may just be the answer to fixing Russell Wilson. Bevell spent several years as Wilson’s offensive coordinator. He was with the Seahawks from 2011-2017, and now he’s coming off a successful season as the passing game coordinator for the Miami Dolphins.

If the Broncos want to fix Wilson and have him return to his former self, Bevell could be the answer.

DeMeco Ryans +1000

DeMeco Ryans is the new hot name on the head coaching market after this season. He’s been with the San Francisco 49ers since 2017, most recently taking over as the defensive coordinators over the past two seasons. The 49ers defense was arguably the best in the NFL this year.

With that being said, the Broncos may be timid to go with another rookie head coach after the Nathaniel Hackett debacle this season. But, if they decide to go that route, Ryans would likely be the top name on their list.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
