Broncos 2023 New Year’s resolution: Inject life into the offense

The Broncos have been a bad offensive team since Peyton Manning was running the show. Each year, the team seems to have an above-average defense that ends up just breaking because of how much it has to carry the offense.

The Broncos looked much better offensively in Week 17 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Russell Wilson was making plays with his legs. He was getting the ball to Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton. We even saw Albert Okwuegbunam resurface from the depths of gameday inactivity.

Where the heck has that been all season?

The Broncos need to get rid of much of what they did offensively this season and stick with the few things that worked. They need a completely different offensive outlook next season and the team needs to add playmakers at running back and wide receiver.

Jeudy and Sutton are both good options but we have seen how depleted the unit is when one of those guys is out of the lineup, which has been far too often.

The Broncos need to look to both free agency and the draft to bolster the offensive side of the ball with more talent than the roster currently offers.
