I don’t personally celebrate Christmas, but I wish Santa would have put a better matchup under the tree for the Broncos in the nationally televised Christmas day window this afternoon.

Nevertheless, the schedule is what it is, and Denver finds themselves as a rare road favorite against a Los Angeles Rams squad that’s now in Game 3 of the Baker Mayfield era.

Here’s a look at the latest odds for today:

BetSided’s Iain MacMillan already shared his best bet for today’s matchup, plus his favorite player props for this week on Predominantly Orange here. In this article, we’ll focus on three players that are best set up to cash in as an anytime touchdown scorer, along with a sample same game parlay pick to consider for the mid-afternoon matchup in L.A.

Best Anytime Touchdown Scorer Picks for Broncos vs. Rams

  • Greg Dulcich (+370)
  • Tyler Higbee (+390)
  • Broncos Defense (+750)

Greg Dulcich

For anyone backing the Broncos’ starting tight end last week, it was quite a tilting experience to see Russ connect with Eric Tomlinson instead, taking away what should have been a nice little payday from Denver’s emerging star.

Needless to say, Dulcich played roughly the same percentage of snaps as he had the previous two weeks when he saw back-to-back 8-target games, but was only targeted twice vs. the worst tight end defense in the league, catching just 1 pass for 11 yards.

This game has “squeaky wheel” game written all over it against a Rams defense that’s likely sending pressure. If they call enough play action, that should give Dulcich some great opportunities down field and through the middle to cause damage, including finding pay-dirt in L.A.

Tyler Higbee

Sometimes the ole’ announcers jinx still can gets the job done, and in the case of last week’s broadcast, the Monday Night Football crew had just mentioned the Rams as the lone team in the NFL without a tight end to score a touchdown.

Why not go for it again?

Higbee almost never leaves the field, taking a break on a total of nine snaps in two games with Baker Mayfield at the helm. For as dominant as the Broncos’ defense has been all year, they rank bottom 12 in yards allowed to tight ends, giving up three touchdowns on the season to the position.

Given how much the Rams’ use him in pass blocking situations (30-33%), I don’t love him to go pass his receiving yardage total, but he’s still a mismatch in the red zone and can hopefully stay hot with his usage in that area today.

Broncos Defense

Here’s a fun fact, Baker Mayfield leads the NFL in interceptions since 2018.

Also a fun fact, No. 2 is Josh Allen!

In his combined time in Carolina and L.A, Mayfield has six touchdowns and six picks so far this season, and the Broncos are tied for the fourth-most interceptions on defense this year with 13.

Mayfield’s aggressive nature has both its strengths and faults, but with a low scoring game projected, all it takes is one mistake and Denver has the ability to take it back for six with two defensive scores in 2022.

Best Same Game Parlay for Broncos vs. Rams on Christmas Day

For this SGP, we’re heavily moving the spread and total in our favor, while also going back to our top anytime touchdown scorer to move the needle. This 3-leg SGP at +564 odds would pay out $141.12 on a $25 bet.

  • Denver Broncos +3.5 alternate spread (-250)
  • Under 50.5 alternate total (-1200)
  • Greg Dulcich anytime TD scorer (+410)
