Broncos need to decide which wide receivers are part of the future

This was a group that was highly overrated ahead of the season.

The Broncos were supposed to have a great combination in Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy. Russell Wilson was supposed to have so many great weapons to spread the ball around to.

Well, that hasn’t been the case.

The offense has been incredibly bad all year and not one of the wide receivers on the roster has looked good at all.

K.J. Hamler has been hurt for much of the season (and much of his young career) and Tim Patrick has missed the entire year with an injury. Much like the offensive line, there is not a sure thing in this group either.

Jeudy’s name came up repeatedly ahead of this year’s trade deadline. The Broncos chose to keep him, believing he is still part of the team’s future. But he has never done anything on the field to show that he should be.

Still, the team has stuck by him and will likely count on him and Sutton again next year. Beyond those two, the Broncos really need to address this position, perhaps both in free agency and the draft.
