Best head coaches for the Denver Broncos in 2023

4. Dan Quinn, Defensive Coordinator, Dallas Cowboys

Someone who the Denver Broncos had interviewed last year was Dan Quinn, who is surely going to have his share of interviews again for this cycle.  He is currently the DC of the Dallas Cowboys and also served as the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons, leading them to a Super Bowl appearance.

Before that, he was the defensive coordinator of the Seattle Seahawks from 2013-2014.  He had a bit of overlap with Darrell Bevell, who served as Seattle’s defensive coordinator from 2011-2017.  I think you see what I am getting at.

Russell Wilson was drafted in 2012, so from then until 2017, Bevell was his OC.  During that stretch, Wilson threw for 161 touchdowns, 56 interceptions, and earned a 98.8 passer rating.  Clearly, Wilson enjoyed success with Bevell, and I have to think that this combination would still be effective.

I would expect the Denver Broncos to again call Dan Quinn for an interview this coming cycle.  It remains to be seen if he’d be interested, but the connections are there.
