The Denver Broncos have one thing to play for at this point in the 2022 season: Each other. They have finished Week 13 as the second-worst team in the AFC, second only to the Houston Texans, who have one win as opposed to the Broncos’ three.

The loss to the Baltimore Ravens was absolutely devastating. The Ravens were without Lamar Jackson for most of the game due to injury but the Broncos still found ways to lose. Don’t even come at me blaming Brandon McManus for missing the would-have-won-the-game field goal. It really should not have come down to that.

The Broncos always just find ways to lose. So far this season, they have lost seven one-score games. It comes down to fundamentals, proper play calls and execution. Even despite giving Klint Kubiak play-calling duties, this team still is struggling on offense. The Ravens game seemed a little better and by no means was the loss on Russell Wilson, but his play just wasn’t enough, as he didn’t throw a touchdown pass.

Unfortunately, the Denver Broncos have had so many injuries, including Tim Patrick, Javonte Williams, and Garett Bolles, but I would have expected them to be a lot more competitive than they have shown throughout the season.

Unfortunately, the Denver Broncos are not a fun team to watch. The struggles Wilson has had this season are not something I anticipated lasting this long. There’s no consistency in overall play by the team. When something goes right, something goes wrong. Then those outcomes are reversed. The Broncos just can’t get things going for an extended period of time.

I do appreciate Nathaniel Hackett being proactive in trying to fix things such as in-game management but obviously, it hasn’t been enough.

Nobody expected this team to be as terrible as it has been this year. People are going to lose their jobs at some point and it’s fairly obvious who the team’s new owners are going to start with: Someone who they are reportedly fed up with—Hackett.
