The Denver Broncos face the Carolina Panthers on Sunday in a battle between two of the worst teams in the NFL. Both teams have just three wins on the season.

The Broncos and Panthers have been through similar seasons in 2022. The Panthers already fired their head coach, Matt Rhule, who was just named the new head coach at the University of Nebraska.

The Broncos have not pulled the plug on first-year head coach Nathaniel Hackett, but he will definitely need to make strides to show some improvement over the next seven games to prevent that from happening.

Historically, the Panthers are a team the Broncos have played very well against, winning six of the seven games between the two teams. The Panthers’ only win over Denver came back in December of 2008.

Our friends over at Cat Crave put out some bold predictions for this game, so here are some bold predictions of my own.

Broncos vs. Panthers bold prediction No. 1: Latavius Murray has a big day

The Broncos rightfully moved on from Melvin Gordon following last week’s loss to the Las Vegas Raiders and will now focus on the makeshift backfield that they have for the rest of the season.

Latavius Murray is the team’s new No.1 running back and he will be asked to carry the load for the rest of the year, with some Marlon Mack sprinkled in.

Since coming to Denver following the season-ending injury to Javonte Williams, Murray has rushed for 209 yards and three touchdowns with the Broncos. But that has been while splitting time with Gordon, who Hackett just wouldn’t take off the field for some reason.

Murray will be the horse the team leans on against Carolina as the offense looks to get something going. Look for him to have a nice day while helping set the tone for a good offensive day for the Broncos.

Prediction: Murray rushes for 75+ yards and a touchdown
