With the postseason hopes evaporating quickly, the Denver Broncos are in evaluation mode after dropping to 3-7 against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Another disappointing one-possession game loss kills the postseason chances even more and it is time to start looking ahead to the future. George Paton and company need to keep an eye out for specific players for the rest of the season to see if they can play a pivotal role next year.

The offense has been nothing short of awful and inconsistent. The unit might have a massive overhaul in the offseason but it’s important to evaluate a few players for the rest of the season.

Depending on how some of these players play for the rest of the season, they can be part of the solution going forward with the offense.

Here are four offensive players to watch and evaluate for the rest of the 2022-23 season.

4 Denver Broncos Offensive Players to Watch the rest of the Season

Graham Glasgow

One of the players to evaluate and watch as the season comes to an end is OL Graham Glasgow. With the Broncos’ having the injury bug once again, the offensive line has been depleted with injuries. Glasgow played at RG for the first five weeks of the season as Quinn Meinerz was rehabbing his injury. Glasgow did not play particularly well in that spot but with some recent shuffling of the offensive line, he found a better spot.

With Lloyd Cushenberry going down in the Jaguars game, Glasgow filled in at Center and had an immediate impact. His best year playing was in 2018 with the Detroit Lions when he was the Center so it only makes sense that he is playing much better now. Glasgow has continued to be the starting Center for the team and if he continues to improve his play week by week, he can earn his way to being the starter next year at that position.

Center is one of the positions of need for the Broncos this offseason but if Glasgow can continue to improve, it’ll be one less problem to worry about for George Paton and the team.

Courtland Sutton

In what has been an extremely disappointing season, Courtland Sutton is a player to watch for the rest of the season. He started the year strong and then started to decline at an unusual rate. In a three-week span, Sutton recorded 23 receiving yards or less. For someone who is perceived as WR1 on this team, that is unacceptable.

Sutton leads the team in drops and his contested catch rate (CTC) is at a career low. He is known for his ability to catch contested passes and jump balls down the field but it hasn’t looked great this year. Sutton has been wildly inconsistent while having most of the team targets.

Russell Wilson still hasn’t found a “go-to” guy in these games as of yet and many thought that Sutton would have been his guy. With the connection Wilson has had with Jerry Jeudy as of late (prior to his injury), Sutton needs to step up his play for this offense to improve.

The statistics and (more importantly) the film does not look great. Paton may need to switch things up at the WR position and if Sutton continues to disappoint, changes may be on the way.
