Surprise cut or trades for Denver Broncos next year

Jerry Jeudy, WR

Jerry Jeudy was apparently available for trade at the deadline, but no team coughed up enough to land him.  It seems the Broncos wanted a second round pick for his services.  Perhaps this wouldn’t be a surprise, but given that the team will carry over the same receivers they did in 2022, I think it could be.

Courtland Sutton has been a bit inconsistent this year and Tim Patrick will be returning from a torn ACL.  KJ Hamler hasn’t done much for the Broncos either.  You’d think then that the team would want to carry over as many pass catchers as possible to see who they could include in the receiver room for 2023 and beyond.

Jerry Jeudy is an exceptional route runner who is on pace to hit his yardage total from his rookie season.  He’s got some value and I do think Denver desperately wants to get more out of him.  Trading him for a draft pick at the end of the year might come as a surprise to some.
