Jakobi Meyers, Wide Receiver

Wide receiver has to be one of the most challenging positions to assess for Paton. What does he really have there?

It looked like a strength of the team heading into 2022 and all of them were supposed to flourish with Wilson coming in. That has not been the case.

Tim Patrick suffered a season-ending injury during the summer. K.J. Hamler is constantly unavailable. Jerry Jeudy has dealt with injuries and doesn’t look like the first-round pick he should look like when he is out there.

Courtland Sutton seems to be the best option but he has dealt with some drop issues.

The Broncos are going to need to stock up on wide receivers and if I were the general manager, I would do so in free agency as well as early in the draft.

The free-agent market lacks a big name at wide receiver in 2023 but Jakobi Meyers is one of those consistent players who just flies under the radar in New England.

Meyers already has over 200 career receptions in his young career and while he doesn’t find the end zone often, he does move the chains.

He would be a perfect possession receiver for Wilson to throw to and one the Broncos could likely obtain affordably.
