The Denver Broncos sit at 3-6 following a loss against the Tennessee Titans in Week 10. The team faces a real uphill climb to make anything out of this season.

Not only were the Broncos coming out of their bye week in their loss to the Titans, but they somehow looked even worse than they have in other losses this season.

Head coach Nathaniel Hackett is going to be on shaky ground for the remainder of this season and Russell Wilson, the guy who was supposed to be the answer for this team, has been anything but.

It has been extremely ugly for the Broncos and the team is speeding toward missing the playoffs for a seventh straight season since winning Super Bowl 50. No team had ever missed the playoffs six years in a row after winning the Super Bowl, Denver became the first.

Here are two other statistics that might make your stomach turn if you bleed orange and blue.

These two stats are staggering for the Broncos

As of right now, the Broncos lead the league in points allowed, giving up just 16.6 points per game. However, they only score 14.6 points per game on average, the worst mark in the league.

It has been a long time since a team was the best defense in terms of points given up and the worst-scoring offense in the same season. In fact, it has been 76 years since that happened.

The 1946 Pittsburgh Steelers were the last team to do that. Obviously, it was a much different league back then but that shows you how unprecedented such a feat is. In addition, those Steelers managed to finish that season 5-5-1.

In addition, and perhaps equally ridiculous, if the Broncos were able to post 18 points in every game this season, they would be sitting with a record of 8-1 right now. The only game they would have lost would have been the one to the Las Vegas Raiders, who they face coming up in Week 11.

In the game against the Los Angeles Chargers, they did give up 19 points, but it took overtime for that to happen. Had the Broncos put up 18 points in every game, they would have one of the best records in the league this season. That shows just how good the defense has been and just how poor the offense has been.

How hard is it to score 18 points a game? Not that difficult. Through 10 weeks of the 2022 season, 26 of the 32 NFL teams are averaging more than 18 points a game.
