4 Broncos who will be looking for a new team in 2023
Broncos who will be looking for a new team in 2023: Marlon Mack, Running Back
Marlon Mack has yet to even get a snap with the Broncos, but he’s nothing more than a band-aid on a big issue in Denver.
After losing Javonte Williams for the season, the Broncos were stretched thin at the running back position and had to turn back to Melvin Gordon, who had exhibited a major fumbling issue up to that point.
The team signed Latavius Murray, who has been effective and then acquired Chase Edmonds in the Chubb trade.
Mack has never been the same since tearing his Achilles in 2020 when he was a solid running back for the Indianapolis Colts. Since then, he has played for three other teams and has a grand total of 101 yards rushing.
However, he will still be only 27 years old when the 2023 season kicks off so an impressive showing during his time in Denver could lead to another team taking a shot on him.
How he can stick around: For the same reason he could be in a new uniform, Mack could do enough to convince the Broncos that he could be a future piece as he is still relatively young.
The Broncos will have Williams returning next season and with Edmonds, Mike Boone (who will also be a free agent) and Murray all possibly in the fold, Mack will have to do a lot to impress in a short amount of time.
