In 2022, Aaron Rodgers and his Green Bay Packers are 3-6 on the season. Rodgers looks totally out of sorts; does he wish he was in Denver for 2022?  One of the more interesting stories the NFL had in quite a while was Aaron Rodgers and his apparent desire to leave the Green Bay Packers.

The issues seemed to come to a boil when they took Jordan Love back in the 2020 NFL Draft.  The issues were heavily publicized, and Rodgers was not afraid to speak his mind.  The Broncos were right in the middle of the rumors that started to come out.

Aaron Rodgers might be wishing he’d forced a trade to the Broncos

Apparently, the veteran quarterback wanted to come to Denver.  The fit made sense as the Broncos, at least before the 2022 season, looked to be an extremely desirable team to play for.  As the story continued to unfold, the Broncos interviewed Nathaniel Hackett, his former offensive coordinator, for their head coaching position.

Many thought that hiring Nathaniel Hackett would all but guarantee Rodgers’ arrival in Denver.  Obviously, that did not happen, but perhaps the Packers’ all-time great regrets his decision to stay in Green Bay and sign a massive extension.

What we are seeing from number 12 this season is virtually nothing like anything we’ve seen from him before.  Not only are the Packers 3-6, but they’ve lost five games in a row, most recently to the Detroit Lions.

Their defense is below average and their offense simply cannot move the ball.  Not only that, Aaron Rodgers has thrown 14 touchdowns on seven interceptions this year, which are not terrible numbers, but Rodgers threw nine interceptions total in 2021 and 2020, his back-to-back MVP seasons.

It’s clear that the Packers are in a ridiculously tough spot.  They aren’t in a playoff spot and now have a worse record than the Broncos.  I do wonder if he regrets signing that extension in Green Bay and not coming to Denver.

Perhaps he and Hackett would have been on the same page and the Broncos’ offense would have turned into something half-decent.  Maybe Nathaniel Hackett would have much rather had A-a-ron instead of Russell Wilson?
