Broncos trade Albert Okwuegbunam to Tennessee Titans
The Broncos just need to move on from Albert Okwuegbunam at any cost at this point as he just doesn’t seem to have much of a future with this team. For the last two weeks, he has been on the gameday inactive list, not even suiting up.
It seemed that he was the tight end of the future in Denver after the team traded away Noah Fant but he has fallen out of favor as Nathaniel Hackett’s offense has preferred the tight ends that can block and be receivers in the passing game.
Rookie Greg Dulcich, now healthy, looks like a solid future piece as well.
The Tennessee Titans improved to 4-2 on the season following a victory over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 7 and have the lead in the AFC South division. They have a solid roster from top to bottom but could certainly use more help at the tight end position.
On the year, the Titans have gotten a total of 20 receptions out of the tight end spot. If Okwuegbunam could go there and help stretch the field, giving the team another weapon in the passing game, it could be the piece that makes the offense that much more dangerous.
The Broncos likely would not get much in return, but they would take it as Okwuegbunam is just taking up a space on the roster right now.
