Three notable Broncos who won’t be on the 2023 roster

Jerry Jeudy, Wide receiver

I love Jerry Jeudy.  He’s got a unique skill set and is one of the best route runners in the NFL, but it’s clear that he has yet to establish consistency for the Broncos.  He is on pace to have a respectable amount of receiving yards this year, but it’s clear that there is a disconnect between him and Russell Wilson, and he isn’t going anywhere.

Jerry Jeudy is plenty talented enough to be the WR1 of a team, but he isn’t going to get that chance in Denver.  Being that he’s still very young and immensely talented, maybe a wide receiver-needy team will pay a high enough price to get Jerry Jeudy on a new team.

I am not advocating for this by any means, but I do think that conversations about this are happening currently.  He’d be a perfect fit in Green Bay, and the Packers are in a more urgent spot to compete than the Denver Broncos.

If Jeudy were traded, the Broncos would have to invest more into the position.  I think even if he does remain with the team, Denver needs to do this.  Outside of Courtland Sutton, the team would have Tim Patrick entering his age 30 season off a torn ACL, KJ Hamler, who hasn’t been consistent, and Montrell Washington, the only other WR of note who has done nice work in the return game but has not had the chance to establish himself yet.

Denver needs to add to this position, and maybe looking into the free agent market would suffice to replace Jerry Jeudy if he were dealt.
