3. Trade for WR Robbie Anderson

If the Broncos could move down a handful of spots in the 2023 NFL Draft and get a Robbie Anderson rental, that may not be the worst idea. As of right now, Denver has seven receivers on the active roster:

  • Courtland Sutton
  • Jerry Jeudy
  • KJ Hamler
  • Kendall Hinton
  • Montrell Washington
  • Jalen Virgil
  • Tyrie Cleveland

Because of that, acquiring a receiver in a trade is perhaps not overly likely but Robbie Anderson could potentially help the Denver Broncos replace what they lost when Tim Patrick went down with a season-ending injury back in training camp. Anderson is 6-foot-3 with good downfield speed, and proven ability at the NFL level. That is something that a lot of those guys on the seven-player list above do not have to their name.

Even earlier this season, Anderson had a 100-yard game for the Panthers. The Broncos might be scared off — as could any team, to be fair — about the fact that Anderson got himself kicked off the Panthers’ sideline by interim head coach Steve Wilks, but it feels like the relationship between this player and team soured long ago.

For what the Broncos need, Anderson could give them a proven veteran receiver with long speed and a smaller base salary, easily palatable in a trade especially given his value will probably never be lower.
