Three options to help fix the Broncos’ offense

Give up play-calling duties

Nathaniel Hackett’s play-calling seems to have gotten worse as the season has worn on.  After five games, the Broncos have yet to crack 24 points in any game.  Hackett might be a good play-caller as an offensive coordinator, but balancing that with his head coaching duties is not working.

I think he needs to give his play-calling duties to someone else, and that person would be Klint Kubiak, who recently called plays in 2021 with the Vikings.  Kubiak is the passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Broncos, and his father is some random man named Gary Kubiak.

It might not be a perfect solution, but Hackett needs to make another adjustment if he wants to keep his job in the future.  The defense is playing Super Bowl-caliber defense, and it’s clear how badly the offense is doing their jobs.

Kubiak would take a bit off of Hackett’s plate, much like Jerry Rosburg apparently did.  Justin Outten is the team’s offensive coordinator but has never called plays before, so I do not think giving him those duties would make much sense.
