It’s been a slow start to the Russell Wilson era for the Denver Broncos offense. To add injury to insult, the team just announced star running back Javonte Williams would miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL.

Despite all of that, the Broncos win total has tremendous value for bettors. In fact, you’d be crazy not to bet the over today.

Broncos Win Total Odds

Denver’s current win total sits at 9.5, with +130 odds on the over. As the Broncos enter a relatively easy upcoming stretch of their schedule, I love the value on those +130 odds.

This is an elite defense, Josh Jacobs gashing it notwithstanding, and there’s reason to believe the offense will improve soon. The Broncos rank 16th in yards per play (5.4) but a dreadful 30th in points per game (16.5), partially because of correctable mistakes and partially because of just dumb luck.

Williams and Gordon both fumbled at the goal line to lose TDs, though in Gordon’s case the fumbles seem to be a feature, not a bug. Nathaniel Hackett’s bizarre decision-making regularly costs Denver points, but I’m choosing to believe he’ll learn from his mistakes.

Further, the talent on this team is overwhelming, even without Williams. Courtland Sutton ranks among the league’s best WRs with 14.8 yards per catch, Jerry Jeudy is a fantastic complimentary piece, and there’s still a good QB down in Russell Wilson somewhere.

Perhaps the biggest reason to slam the over on the Broncos, though, is this schedule. After Indianapolis, Denver plays the Chargers, Jets, Jaguars, Titans, Raiders, and Panthers. It’s favored against Indy and should be favored in more than half of those games.

Even if the Broncos only beat the Colts, Jets, Titans, and Panthers, they’ll still have six wins with six games left, including a slam-dunk against Arizona. I think Denver has an upset or two up its sleeve, and we won’t have plus odds at +9.5 for long.

Lock in the Broncos over and get ready for a revitalization for this struggling team.
