The Denver Broncos travel to face the Las Vegas Raiders in week four. What are their odds for the game, and who ultimately comes out on top?  The Broncos and Raiders hate each other, to put it mildly.  Well, to be fair, the entire AFC West hates each other.

What makes week four even more enticing is who is on the other sideline.  Josh McDaniels, who once coached the Denver Broncos, is back in the head coaching seat with the Raiders.  McDaniels is 0-3 in 2022 and is continuing his awful trend as an NFL HC.

The Raiders have a ton of talent on their roster and a good enough quarterback.  It is a bit mind-boggling why the Raiders are winless, but they are.  What do the odds say about the Denver Broncos’ chances in week four against the Las Vegas Raiders?

Broncos vs. Raiders odds in week four

What do the odds say about Denver’s chances in week four?  They weren’t favored against the 49ers at home, but are they against Las Vegas?  According to FanDuel, the Broncos are 2.5-point underdogs against the Raiders.

This makes sense.  I think if the game were in Denver, they’d be roughly 2.5-point favorites.  The over/under point total is 45.5, which is reasonably high.  I wouldn’t expect much movement with these numbers in the game.

Denver is the underdog, so if you’d like to make more money on this game, you’d want to bet that Denver covers the spread or wins outright.  I think betting on the orange and blue to win on Sunday is a wise bet to make.

Broncos vs. Raiders prediction

The Raiders are the 10th highest scoring offense in 2022, putting up 21.3 points per game, but they are the 24th ranked scoring defense, allowing 25.7 points per game.  The Broncos do have a clear path to score some points, as the Raiders’ secondary is below average, and they are last in the league with 2.0 sacks on the season.

It seems like the Raiders are back to their old ways, even with an improved roster and a new head coach. Playing in Las Vegas won’t be easy, but I don’t see where the Raiders have any advantage.  The defense has been bad, and the offense hasn’t put up a ton of points.

If the Broncos’ defense can shut down the 49ers’ offense, why can’t they do the same with the Raiders’ offense?  The Broncos should be able to win this game, and the offense vs. defense matchup should allow them to score some points, but I still think it’ll be a low-scoring affair.

Prediction: Broncos 17, Raiders 14
