Broncos must be better in the red zone

One of the reasons the Broncos have looked so bad this season is their inability to punch it in inside the red zone.

It was a comedy of errors in Week 1 against the Seahawks and last week against the Houston Texans, they had a hard time even getting inside the 20-yard line.

This is a bit of an extension of the last point, but in addition to running the ball inside the 5-yard line, the Broncos just need to play to their strengths and stop trying to get too cute with the play calls.

The Broncos need to start coming away with touchdowns, not field goals because 17 points are not going to be enough to beat the 49ers or most teams in the league.

The Broncos have been one of the weaker offensive teams in the league for several years now. Wilson was supposed to change that but to this point, the team’s struggles once in the red zone are hindering the offensive unit.

It will be interesting to see how the coaching staff tries to put the team in the best position to succeed in this area in this game because the plan for the first two weeks has been anything but effective.
