3. Baron Browning has a big coming-out party with two sacks

The Denver Broncos pass rush has been outstanding through the first two games of the season. Although they are not racking up seven sacks a game, I would compare the Broncos’ pass rush to a very good running game offensively.

Over the course of the game, you’ll have some big runs here and there, but even if you’re just chipping away with five or six yards per carry, you’re eventually going to break open the floodgates as the game comes to a close and your sack numbers will come in bunches. That’s kind of what we’ve been seeing from the Broncos’ pass rush.

Guys are winning on the inside, on the outside, they’re winning on blitzes, they’re winning on stunts. Essentially, if you’re paying attention to the film and what defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero is actually scheming, you’re seeing a high rate of success from the Broncos’ pass rush unit.

Baron Browning has only been credited with two pressures so far this season, but a further examination of what he’s been able to do in the games as a pass rusher has shown someone who is about to have his NFL coming-out party as a pass rusher. Browning is so quick off the edge and whether he’s been rotating in for one of Bradley Chubb or Randy Gregory, whether he’s been on the field at the same time as them.

Against the 49ers, I think Browning is going to be the one to have a big game after we saw Bradley Chubb rack up two sacks in Week 1, then Randy Gregory notch a strip-sack in Week 2.
