Players who need a big game for the Broncos against the 49ers

Russell Wilson, QB

Russell Wilson was surgical in his first game with the Denver Broncos.  He threw for over 300 yards, completed 69% of his passes, and threw a touchdown pass.  He was much less efficient in week two, throwing an unlucky interception that wasn’t his fault and completing less than 50% of his passes.

Wilson needs to be at his absolute best if Denver wants to win this game.  In his career, Wilson is 16-4 against San Francisco and hasn’t lost to them since 2019.  He’s thrown 36 touchdowns on just 10 interceptions for a 100.2 passer rating.

He’s been absolutely magical against his former NFC West rival, and that magic needs to be present on the field on Sunday.  The nine-time Pro Bowl is going to have to deal with a fierce 49ers defensive front and a talented secondary.

Plus, Wilson needs to silence the people that keep saying he’s washed.  It’s quite annoying watching some of the national NFL folks get on live television and trash Wilson as just some guy who loves attention and can’t play anymore.

It’s getting incredibly annoying at this point.  Russell Wilson knows he can play at a high level, and he still can.
